-
Which areas do you cover?I cover mainly London area but I may be possible to travel a little further. I invoice you for travel, and I endeavour to keep these expenses to a minimum.
-
What is the maximum number of people you can do?It depends a little on how early I can start and the time of your ceremony, but usually I would say no more than 4 for makeup and 2 for both hair and makeup.
-
How far in advance should I book my hair and makeup trial?I would suggest booking your trial approximately 3 to 6 months in advance . I understand that this may not always be possible, but I will always strive to be helpful and accommodate your trial if I can.
-
Can I book in a trial without paying the deposit first?I ask for a deposit first to hold your wedding date in my diary before booking in your trial.
-
How do I prepare for my trial?Scheduling a trial after purchasing your wedding dress can be really helpful. It gives you a clearer idea of the overall look you're going for and helps you focus your mind on how you'd like your hair and makeup to complement your dress. But don't worry if you don't have your dress with you - a picture will be fine! If you have any hair accessories or a veil that you've already purchased, feel free to bring them along. However, if you haven't decided on them yet, don't worry - I'm used to working without them. Before your appointment, I will ask you to send me a makeup-free picture of yourself so I can assess your facial features. I will also ask you for a couple of reference items, such as pictures of makeup styles you love. This will help me understand your expectations and preferences. Pinterest is a fantastic resource for bridal beauty inspiration, but it's important to remember that images are often heavily edited. I recommend sharing a collection of images that will give me a feel for the look you're going for, even if you can't find the exact style you're envisioning.Ultimately, there are no hard and fast rules when it comes to your bridal beauty look. It's all about finding a look that makes you feel comfortable, confident, and beautiful. If you're not sure where to start, I will guide you through the process and help you find a look that's perfect for you. So don't worry, you're in good hands! When it comes to who to bring along to your trial, we recommend avoiding bringing too many people. Sometimes, having too many opinions can be overwhelming! However, bringing your best friend, bridesmaid, or mom along can be a fun and supportive experience.
-
How long will the trial last? The trial lasts approximately 3.5 - 4 hours
-
How should I prep my skin and air or my Trial And Wedding Day?I ask that you and anyone else having having hair and makeup done have clean, makeup-free faces. I usually advise to wash and dry your hair the night before your trial and wedding day, but not use straighteners or any heated tools as it affects the hair shaft and make it harder to re-style. Be sure to avoid leave-in conditioners and hair masks.
-
Do I pay for your travel?Yes, and all the details are in the terms and conditions.
-
What products do you use?I am not affiliated with a particular brand so I use a mix of high quality and high end skin, makeup and hairstyling products.
-
How long shall I allow for hair and makeup on my wedding day?As a rough guide for approximate timings I suggest 3 hours for bridal hair and makeup and and 1,5 hour per person for everyone else.
-
Do you provide a schedule for the wedding morning?Of course! After your trial, I'll send you a schedule for the wedding morning which factors in time for touch-ups and any unexpected issues. I strive to ensure everyone is fully prepared at least 30 minutes before we leave.
-
How long will my makeup last?I use professional skincare, apply primers and makeup in thin layers, ensuring that your makeup will last! It's worth having a powder or blotting paper on hand to use throughout the day to keep shine at bay. You may also need to touch up your lipstick, but the makeup techniques I use are designed to last as long as possible, tried and tested.
-
Do you do hair as well as makeup?Yes! While I originally started out as a makeup artist, in the past five years I have trained and added on hair as a service - I love doing hair and depending on the number of people I can do both. In some instances I will recommend bringing along an assistant at an additional charge, or I may recommend a separate hair stylist.
-
Can my bridesmaids pay you separately? All payment must come from whoever confirms the booking.

Why is bridal makeup more expensive than occasion makeup? When it comes to bridal makeup, it is no secret that the cost of the service is often higher than the cost of regular occasion makeup. Many people wonder why this is the case, and rightly so. As a professional makeup artist, I want to provide some insight into what goes into bridal makeup and why it is worth investing in. First and foremost, it is essential to understand that bridal makeup is a premium service. It is not just about applying makeup for a special occasion, but about creating a flawless, long-lasting look that will last all day and look perfect in every type of light. Bridal makeup needs to look fantastic in person, on photographs, and on video, which is not an easy feat. It takes time, skill, and high-quality products to achieve this level of perfection. To achieve a flawless bridal makeup look, I use high-end products that are specifically designed for long-lasting wear and are suitable for all skin types. These products are more expensive than regular makeup products, and the cost of these products is reflected in the price of bridal makeup. Additionally, I spend more time with their clients than they would for regular occasion makeup. I have to take into account the bride's preferences, skin type, and the overall wedding theme. This can involve multiple consultations, including a trial run before the wedding day, which takes time and effort.Another factor that contributes to the cost of bridal makeup is the additional administrative and communication tasks involved. This communication takes time and effort, and the cost is reflected in the final price of the service.
